On August 27, 2001, Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) was introduced. Since IE6 two other versions of Internet Explorer have been released, respectfully IE7 and IE8. This is not a blog post touting how glorious IE6 is and how it has made our life easier or even a happy early birthday for that matter, but merely a place for me to ask a question. The question is simple, why are we still supporting a browser that is going on 8 years old?
A thank you to Brent and Corinna at Studio 6.
Great mobile apps that are only half useful.
The coolest thing I will see today.
Tim and Court get new toys, don’t do any work on Thursday.

Away with the inferior browser!
posted by Nick on August 13th, 2009Is your website outdated?
posted by Scott on July 15th, 2009A website is similar to another purchase we’re familiar with, an automobile, in that it requires upkeep and maintenance in order to look good and function properly. Many businesses just want to launch their site, be done with it, and never worry about it ever again. They might be too busy, or are simply intimidated by the learning curve in making updates (which can be averted by using a content management system, more on that later).
Whenever you completely redesign your website, the previous investment that you put into it is lost. There may be times when a complete overhaul is necessary, but by investing time and resources into your site, it will continue to evolve and stay fresh. You’ll also avoid having a new expenditure every few years to get a new website.
Here are a few signs that your site may be due for an upgrade or complete makeover.
New 2nd Floor site goes live.
posted by Scott on February 24th, 2009After months of planning, designs, re-designs, and coding (100% new, clean, and validated code), we’re excited to have finally launched the new 2nd Floor website.
A website is never “complete” and should always be kept fresh with updates and features and our site is no different. We were so eager to launch that we decided to do so without having all of the cool features we have planned for the site, so please check back for them soon. If you’re interested in being notified when the site is updated, you can subscribe to the feed or join the e-newsletter; we’ll make announcements using both.
As always, we welcome your feedback so if you have any suggestions, please let us know.
