Survival of the Fastest, a new YouTube channel for business

posted by Scott on April 10th, 2009

Survival of the Fastest

Google has launched a new YouTube channel to offer business advice to firms amid the recession.

Survival of the Fastest is a joint collaboration between the search engine, the London Business School and the Daily Telegraph and features video content from prominent business and political figures, offering advice on the best ways to cope with the economic downturn.

It is made up of three content streams – e-commerce, marketing and finance – and Google intends to use it to develop a business community on the web. As with other YouTube channels, you can subscribe to the channel, leave comments, vote on existing videos and upload your own video replies.

I’ve already found some great info and am interested to see how it continues to develop. Pretty cool!

  • Scott, thank you for bringing attention to this new channel on YouTube. Two things that I believe further add value to this effort are these: First, it is refreshing for American businesses to receive up-to-the-minute business advice and editorial from the U.K. (honestly, the Google partnership with LBS is the logical next step to the breakaway popularity of another British export – The Economist – in the U.S.). Second, it demonstrates one of the most effective design and content integrations between a business content provider and YouTube yet. Survival of the Fastest promises to represent the new face of practical, applicable and global business journalism.
